Mommy's gift

Aaron did the cutest thing this morning and I just have to share, I am so in love with my baby. He runs into the house today, with this look of absolute excitement and pride brandishing in his little hand a perfect birds nest. The grass and twigs are all green, so I can only imagine that this nest did not meet with the owners approval and it was nipped off, or the wind blew it down. I took it from him and asked Stefina to throw it away and when he saw what she did he started screaming like she was sticking a knife in his neck. She took it back out of the bin and gave it to him and he once again ran to me and handed it to me, like he had bought me a gift. I took it and kissed him thank you and put it on the floor, he picked it up and put it next to my bed and smiled at me again. The whole evening, wherever I go and sit, he brings it to me as if to say "you forgot your nest" - and when Dh tried to take it away he had a fit and gave it back to me. Ag I know this story is long and might seem silly, but I am so proud that my baby gave his mom his first gift kwim?
